Photonic Therapy
Photonic Therapy is an Australian concept of complimentary medicine based on research published in 1996 by Dr. Brian McLaren.

Treatment consists of applying a particular frequency of light (safe, gentle red light, not laser) to
specific points of the body (traditional Chinese acupuncture points) in order to effectively and
painlessly stimulate the body's own capacity to reduce pain, increase the immune system, and
promote healing.
Photonic Therapy uses broadband 660nm red light to provide the energy (photons) to safely
stimulate tissue.
If a painful condition continues 4-6 weeks the brain learns to accept the problem and we
experience chronic pain or non-healing problems like arthritis or diabetes.
Stimulation of acupuncture points can change a body function. By stimulating these points we
can change the perception of messages the brain is receiving. This makes the brain release
certain chemicals (neurotransmitters), pain killers, and anti-inflammatories which activate the
body's healing processes.
Advantages:
* can heal without use of drugs or associated side effects
* using before and after an operation reduces time of wound healing and
decrease post-operative infection by improving the balance of red and
white blood cell counts
* an excellent modality for people and animals
However - because the light needs to be placed on the skin this modality cannot be used long
distance
Disclaimer - The light unit itself has no healing power of any kind and no claim as such is
made or implied. No responsibility is accepted for any treatment effects, condition progress
or sequel arising after treatment.
